Dak Lak Unveils New Master Plan, Draws Over VND 1,000 Trillion in Investment

A June 27, 2026 investment promotion conference drew more than 700 businesses and unveiled 257 projects worth over VND 1,000 trillion. The province also plans 33 industrial parks, fueling new urbanization and housing demand in Buon Ma Thuot.

On June 27, 2026, in Tuy Hoa ward, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee held a conference to announce the province's 2021-2030 master plan, with a vision to 2050, alongside its 2026 investment promotion program. The event drew more than 1,250 delegates, including Party and State leaders, central ministries, representatives from six provinces and cities, four foreign diplomatic missions, 26 associations and banks, 24 major corporations, and over 700 businesses and investors. It was the province's largest investment promotion event to date since its merger with Phu Yen.

At the conference, the province unveiled a list of 257 projects seeking investment for 2026-2030, with total registered capital estimated at roughly VND 1,031,766 billion, spanning high-tech agriculture with deep processing, manufacturing, renewable energy, logistics, the marine economy, urban infrastructure and high-end tourism. On the spot, Dak Lak granted survey approvals and cooperation memoranda to 25 investors for 28 projects worth an estimated VND 427,375 billion, while applying a 'green channel' fast-track mechanism to 106 of 122 approved projects, together worth VND 1,018,303 billion.

Following its merger with Phu Yen on July 1, 2025, the new Dak Lak province now has 13 operating industrial parks, 11 of them in the former Phu Yen area. Province-wide, these parks host 165 projects in farm and seafood processing, building materials and mechanical engineering. The new master plan calls for 33 industrial parks covering more than 10,800 hectares. Two new parks, Hoa Xuan Tay and Hoa Xuan Dong, with combined capital of over VND 7,400 billion, are already under way, while the Phu Xuan Industrial Park in Cuor Dang commune spans more than 313 hectares with nearly VND 2,477 billion in investment.

Alongside this industrial wave, Dak Lak plans about 12 social housing projects province-wide for 2026-2030, delivering more than 10,400 apartments to meet housing demand from migrant workers and industrial park employees. With over VND 1,000 trillion in investment and a wave of new industrial parks, urbanization around Buon Ma Thuot is expected to accelerate sharply, opening opportunities for real estate investors to capture rising demand for housing and commercial space in the city center.
